Rob begins Cosmopolis filming at the end of next month!  Poor guy, he just doesn’t get a break does he? I wonder what Kristen will do while he’s off filming in Canada .. do I see a set visit in the near future .. I think YES ;)  Kristen doesn’t start filming SWATH until later Summer .. looks like she’ll have enough time on her hands to spend some much needed time w/ her BF, Rob.

It’s been a couple of years since David Cronenberg got involved in the film adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novelCosmopolis and we’re happy to let you know that shooting is set to begin in Toronto on May 24. There’ve been quite a few casting switches but it looks like all is settled. Robert Pattinson gets top billing, but the cast includes Jay Baruchel, Paul Giamatti, Sarah Gadon, Juliette Binoche and Kevin Durand.

Pattinson plays the character Eric Packer, a young, multi-billionaire asset manager who sets out one day in Manhattan (there goes Toronto pretending to be NYC again) in his fabulously appointed stretch limo to get a haircut. The story/parable takes place over one day, during which Packer loses everything. The ending is apocalyptic.

Pattinson says Cosmopolis is one of his favourite novels and that the role is very hard, but he is “trying to turn it.”

One other note: the musical score will be by Canadian composer Howard Shore, a frequent collaborator with Cronenberg (they worked together on the opera version of The Fly, also Dead RingersNaked LunchScanners,Eastern Promises, and others). Shore also wrote the music for The Lord of the Rings and is working on The Hobbit.

Hollywood Life has exclusive information about where Rob is staying while he’s in Paris, promoting Water For Elephants.  The price tag on this place is a bit exuberant for Rob (from what I’ve read, its $28,000 a night for the “Royale” suite!).  However, these pictures of the room are absolutely stunning .. if only Kristen was with him to enjoy this romantic setting!  Oh, don’t worry .. they will be in Paris soon enough, promoting Breaking Dawn in the fall ;)

Robert Pattinson is living the high life! The 24-year-old actor may not like all of the fan attention that comes along with being a mega-star but at least he’s resting his pretty head on pricey pillows. HollywoodLife.com has confirmed that Rob is staying at the Hotel Plaza-Athenee in Paris, while in town for the premiere of Water For Elephants!

Rob was in Paris in 2009 and stayed with his Breaking Dawn co-stars at the Hotel de Crillon. But it seems he’s now opted for a change of scenery. Our source tells us that Rob is staying at the hotel located on the Avenue Montaigne under a different name, and his co-star Reese Witherspoon is staying at another hotel.

Plaza-Athenee rooms range from $800 for a single room and all the way up to $28,000 for the Royale Suite — we think Rob deserves to stay in that one! And we can’t wait to see Rob all handsome at the premiere!

If Rob is staying in the luxurious Royale Suite, here’s a peek inside:

  • Situated on the 5th floor. Fabric for the drapes is embroidered using three different gold threads. Bathrooms are tiled entirely in Italian marble mosaics and engraved glass. Flowers from all four seasons can be found around the suite.
  • Two main entrances
  • A reception hall
  • Two master bedrooms, each which a private dressing room finished in beautifully crafted solid wood
  • Two bedrooms overlooking a quiet, open courtyard
  • Spacious double living room with a bookcase: the drawing room and the sitting room
  • Combined sitting and dining-room (table seats up to 12 people)
  • A sitting room
  • Spacious study
  • Two full marble bathrooms with a steam shower (remote controlled) and a Jacuzzi
  • Kitchen
  • Balconies overlooking the Avenue Montaigne, offering a side view of the Eiffel Tower

Here are some of the pics of Rob (and Reese) at the WFE premiere in Paris today!  He looks stunning!

Sorry about the delay!  Here are the Breaking Dawn pics from next week’s Entertainment Weekly (in newsstands tomorrow)!!

Here’s an exerpt from the article:

Fans have waited years to see Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) tie the knot, and the wedding scene, scheduled for the end of production on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, proved to be equally climactic for those involved. “It was one of the coolest things that I’ve done,” says Stewart. “There was a certain point when I walked on set, and I saw everyone from the entire cast sitting there in the pews, about to do their bit. And it was just so perfect for me in that moment. It was so emotional in such a real way. I literally felt like thanking them for coming.”

Yes, that’s right!  Rob was asked in this video (scroll down a little to click on video, no embed code) about where his GIRLFRIEND was …. he replied “Yea, she’s back in L.A. *huge grin*”

Leave it to Rob to break the silence on their relationship .. I bet Kristen is now cringing at the fact that now everyone knows .. there shall be no more speculation my friends! :)

New steamy video of Robert and Kristen filming in St. Thomas last weekend!  The two were filming the Honeymoon scene, where a passionate kiss is shared (w/o clothes) in the ocean, in Breaking Dawn.  Hold on to your seats ladies, this will leave you wanting more!
