Kristen Stewart, Beyonce and Kate Winslet Embrace Sexy Cat Eyes

The eyes definitely have it for Kristen Stewart, Beyonce, and Kate Winslet, who are only a few of the bevy of A-List celebrities who have recently rocked sultry incarnations of winged eyeliner. Also known as cat eyes or bedroom eyes, the look has long been a popular one, from Old Hollywood femme fatales such as Gene Tierney and Marlene Dietrich to the mod ’60s and Audrey Hepburn, along with past and present-day bombshells (think Marilyn Monroe and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese).

It is no surprise the winged look has remained a mainstay through the eras, as flicking the eyeliner adds instant appeal and a touch of mysterious sexiness and drama, not to mention plenty of glamour.
On the cover of the November issue of GQ UK, Kristen Stewart shows off her breathtaking beauty and porcelain skin tone that is only accented by the thin and curvy wing of jet black liner, matched with a candy apple red lip. The Breaking Dawn and Snow White and the Huntsman actress typically doesn’t wear much makeup, so this is a new, if not slightly surprising, look for her.
Also fronting another British glossy, Kate Winslet smolders on the cover of UK Harper’s Bazaar. Her cat eye is much more pronounced than Kristen Stewart’s, with a thick smear of smoky black liner swept across both her top and bottom lids. Her baby blues really do all the talking here, as her nude lips and lightly flushed cheeks fade into the background. It’s a very retro-glam look for the Oscar-winning actress.
Speaking of retro, the pregnant Beyonce recently went mod maven for her latest music video, “Countdown.” In it, she sizzles with winged black eyeliner, accented by bright lime green and white eyeshadow.
Craving a cat eye now? Hollywood Life suggests Lancome’s Precision Point EyeLiner or CoverGirl’s LineExact Liquid Liner to create the perfect winged shape.
