That old fairtales gets new lives on the big screen is a trend right now in Hollywood, and this weekend it’s the premiere for the next one: Snow White and the Huntsman, where the Brothers Grimm story has been remade into a Gothic, action adventure. The Twilight star Kristen Stewart plays a Snow White that is far from Disney’s tinkering, lilting girl, and our reporter Cicci Renström meet with her and the rest of the team.
Kristen: You know, you hear they’re going to do another telling of Snow White and I mean it’s interesting. It’s just that I didn’t think I was necessarily the most obvious choice to play that part and I love the idea that we’re doing a very revenge oriented movie, that is super satisfying in the end, yet at the same time the protagonist that you’re watching carrying out all of these things is not satisfied . I mean she is ultimately…you know it’s her story , It’s just that .. that gratification you’ll get from watching an action movie and seeing people like bust heads, it has a much more delicate , like sweet nature to the action and it’s interesting and it’s not vicious at all it’s the opposite.
