Summit Marketing President Comments on ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2’ Promo

With all the media abuzz about what they’ve termed as the “Kristen Stewart Scandal,” we all have been wondering what this will mean for Breaking Dawn Part 2 promotion. I know I am not the only one here that had very high expectations (joint interviews, photo shoots, etc) for Rob and Kristen. EW must have read our minds and asked the president of Summit Entertainment’s Marketing Department:

In an exclusive statement to EW, Summit’s president of worldwide marketing, Nancy Kirkpatrick says: “While it is studio policy not to comment on the personal lives of actors, Summit is moving full steam ahead and looking forward to this November’s opening of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.  We are confident that the film delivers amazing entertainment for our passionate fans and general audience alike.”

I’ve been trying to stay out of this drama, however, I do believe that Rob and Kristen are capable of putting their big boy and big girl panties on and promoting this last film together with the utmost integrity and professionalism. To me, they don’t seem like high maintenance, dramatic people, so I think this is very much doable 🙂

  1. It’s a dilemma but they need to compartmentalize their feelings towards each other being professional actors. Civility is the key word here…..for the sake of this movie and for their fans.

  2. I really hope they’re be able to do the promo professionally but I also completely understand if they don’t want to do interviews together because that would be both awkward for them to do and for us to watch.
