From Kristen Stewart, Elle UK, June 2012

“It’s a physical thing. I fucking love everything about acting. I love movies. I love what they do. I am just so fuelled by it like nothing else.”

If you guys can’t tell by now, some of my favorite quotes from Kristen are her talking about her love of her profession. It’s when she seems to come alive most in interviews. It’s when she is most comfortable. Kristen is always so amped up on whatever project she is doing and pours herself into it. That’s why, I think, she loves talking about it but sometimes has a difficult time getting her point across… because she cares so deeply and wants US to understand.

From Robert Pattinson, Vanity Fair Magazine, November 2008

When asked about his trademark style…  “Looking terrible. Truly, I wear the same thing every day. I don’t know how to use a washer machine.”

I would never say Rob looks terrible. In fact, I think the exact opposite but it’s nice to know that this interview was done 4 1/2 years ago and Rob seems to be the exact same person he was then. Let’s face it… He definitely wears some of the same stuff now that he did back then. It’s one of the reasons we love him, right?

From Kristen Stewart, Vogue UK, October 2012

“There is always going to be that seam of people who want things differently to the standardized version. It’s not necessarily a rebellious thing, it’s just who they are. That world back then, it just seems freer to me than anything I could ever touch and I’m fully nostalgic for it, even though I wasn’t even alive then…”

Kristen always fully submerges herself into her roles. And not just into the roles but into the time periods, situations and lives of the characters she is playing. I got the sense when I read this quote that Kristen really wanted to understand and fully experience the time of The Beats and equally longs for that type of free simplicity in her own life. I’m not sure that she’ll ever get it but I’m glad she was able to experience it in a role, at least.

From Robert Pattinson, Entertainment Weekly Magazine, November 2008

”In the beginning I thought to myself, ‘Because she’s so serious, I’ve got to be really serious,”’ he says. ”I didn’t speak for about two months so I would seem really intense. I would only ever talk about the movie.”

Who doesn’t LOVE early adorkable Rob talking about Kristen? I can’t imagine anyone wouldn’t… So, that’s why I went deep cut for this little gem. Rob’s vulnerability here is fantastic because he’s showing how serious he actually was about this franchise and (more telling, I think), how serious he was about impressing Kristen. Oh Rob… Mission accomplished…

Flaunt2

Kristen Stewart, Flaunt Magazine, May 2010

“He was nice,” she concedes. “He didn’t ask for a picture. That’s good, because then they go and Twitter them and then the paparazzi know where I am and they drive to my location and it gets crazy. Twitter fucks me over every day of my life. Because people go, ‘I’m sitting next to Kristen Stewart right now’ and then they show up. I see people on their phones and I just want to take these cookies and throw them. It’s like ‘Get off your fucking phone and get a life!’ I get so mad. It’s like you’re trampling on someone’s life without any regard. And it’s rampant. Everyone can do it now. Buy a camera and you’re paparazzi; get a Twitter account and you’re an informant. It’s so annoying.”

There’s something so fantastic about Kristen giving her unfiltered opinions about ANYTHING. This quote is no exception. My friend, Cheryl and I are constantly having conversations about how acutely aware Kristen is wherever she goes of everything around her. She knows. She knows…
