Robert Pattinson, Vanity Fair Magazine, March 2011
“This thing with everyone knowing you … it’s weird, because people have this one-sided relationship where they look at your picture and feel they know you more than someone they actually know,” Pattinson says. “I don’t really know myself that well.”
It’s quotes like this that I love. Quotes like this remind me that as much as we are all fans and invest lots of time and energy into these actors; we don’t know them. It may even seem to weird to us, as fans, to have to admit to ourselves that we do not, in fact, know Rob and Kristen. And sweet Rob again, interjecting his special brand of humor on to the end of a pretty important subject. How well do you know yourself, Rob?
Kristen Stewart, British GQ Magazine, November 2011
“It’s about the only place I can still come in LA where I have an iota of invisibility. And” – her delicate, beautiful, refined features losing all humour suddenly – “I’d prefer to keep it that way.”
Kristen fiercely protects and guards her privacy. Well, what little of it she has left… She is legendary for wanting to keep what is hers actually hers and with so many in the media and beyond trying to rob her of that, I say GOOD FOR HER. I love the interviewer’s commentary on her features and how they go from joking to completely serious. It should demonstrate how serious Kristen is about this particular subject.
“Nobody should ever put what I say in a magazine.”
This is one of my very favorite quotes from Kristen. Why? Because it defines her relationship with the press and media in general. Kristen knows herself better than anybody and she always has. She knew her flaws and her weaknesses well before the mainstream media started picking her apart for every little stutter or misstep of “word vomit.” LOL! Kristen is a very insightful person and always has been. At least, we at StrictlyRobsten, think so.
