Website Update

Hey all,

I think it’s about time I officially come on here to tell you where I’ve been for the past few months. Real life has finally taken a toll on me, and I can’t devote the kind of time this website needs. Kelsey and Nicole have been doing an amazing job at keeping Strictly Robsten updated since I’ve been gone, and I am so thankful for that; however, they both have lives to attend to as well, and Robsten news seems to have become a back-burner for all of us.

My professional career has finally taken off. I am currently a Digital Manager at an agency that manages the social media accounts for big theatrical campaigns from Lionsgate, Warner Bros, Paramount, and more. Basically, I’m doing exactly what I was doing on here, just for other “fandoms.” Robsten will always be my first, favorite, and only fandom, so no need to worry that I’ve left. ;)

Please bare with us as we attempt to keep this website updated. I will try to pop in every now and then to help out or share with you guys something great I heard along the pipeline.

Hope this update finds you well. Love all of you!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to #StrictlyRobsten

Hey my loves!

I can’t believe today marks the third anniversary of my little Robsten blog, Strictly Robsten. I remember the day I came up with the idea to start it … I was just coming off of a trip from Vancouver where I “stalked” the Breaking Dawn set outside of the Orpheum Theater. It was a cold, drizzly, typical Pacific Northwest day. My best friend, Chelsea, and I were flooding each other’s Facebook pages with news about Rob, Kristen and Twilight. Our non-Twilight-loving friends were complaining and threatening to unfriend us, so Strictly Robsten was born. Little did I know, this little hobby would turn into what it is today. Man-o-man has this changed my life.

I want to use this time to update you on what’s going behind the scenes of Strictly Robsten. As some of you may know, my life has gotten overwhelmingly busy over the past few months. Since the last time I checked in with y’all, I made the ambitious move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment business. The road has had its obstacles, but finally I am proud to say that I’ve found a dream job and am loving every minute of it. Now, with that being said, I don’t have nearly as much time to devote to Strictly Robsten. Some administrative changes had to be made in order to keep the site running (I couldn’t do it all by myself), so I enlisted Kelsey and Nicole to help me. These girls are so sweet, so amazing, and so on top of it all. I can’t imagine my life without them! If you haven’t done so, follow them on twitter: Kelsey – kelsey23rk, and Nicole – shailenekristen.

Things here have quieted down a bit — Rob is working on an Indie project here and there, and Kristen is doing the same. I’d love to keep this place as a sanctuary for all of you Rob and Kristen lovers/admirers. I know I haven’t voiced this publicly, but I honestly don’t care either way what’s happening to these two in their personal lives. All what I can say is that I’m a fan of both of them and wish them only the best. I will forever buy tickets to go see their movies, attend red carpet premieres, and blog about what projects they are working on next.

And most importantly, THANK YOU for always being so loyal and supporting me and Strictly Robsten over these three years. We’ve been through so much, what’s another year?! I love, love, love, love, love you all. Hugs and kisses all around!

Hope to see you here next year!

Help Wanted! Looking for 2 Admins to Join #TeamSR

As you’ve probably guessed and I have hinted at, my time has become very limited. I recently got a full time job that requires 60+ hours a week of my time; this leaves me with a little to no time to devote to this website. Initially, I wanted to retire the website because if I can’t give it my all, I don’t want it around. In trying to find a solution to the ‘retire the website’ problem, I have decided to see if one of you would like to join the team and be a part of the #5 Twilight website in the world!  With over 7 million page views and 24,000 twitter followers, Strictly Robsten has made a name for itself, being your source for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart news.

I am looking to hire 2 admins to the team. Unfortunately, you must have WordPress and blogging experience. I don’t have the time right now to train anyone :/ If you think you qualify or are interested in being part of the team, please fill out the form below and I will be in touch with you! XO, Mel

Another Year of Robsten, Celebrating Strictly Robsten’s 2nd Year Anniversary

Another Year of Robsten, Celebrating Strictly Robsten’s 2nd Year Anniversary

I can’t believe it’s been TWO years since I publicly started this blog. Time sure does go by! This year definitely had its ups and downs. Our blog, but more importantly, our fandom, was put to the test this year! We lost a lot of friends, but we gained a new sense of strength. Instead of dwelling in the “what shoulda, coulda, woulda beens”, I think it’s time to share the good times from this year:

Melissa Goes to Europe

Melissa took a brief leave of absense this summer to continue her studies in Paris, France. It wouldn’t be a Melissa trip without making it Robsten-related, so she adjusted her trip to include the Paris Cosmopolis screening with Robert Pattinson and David Cronenberg in attendance!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 LA Premiere

This year, I made a pact with Heather that we HAD to go to the last Twilight premiere and meet each other face-to-face! Our dreams became a reality and we found ourselves taking endless pictures of each other along our Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere journey. We were lucky enough to get pictures with the trio, and I totally remember telling Rob, “I love your suit! Green is a great color on you!” He replied in his adorable British accent, “Thanks!” And then, my fangirl heart flatlined. ha! I can’t talk about the BD2 premiere and not mention the lovely, amazing girls of Team HBG — Lynsey, Jenn, and Sarah! I don’t think I could have lasted much longer in tent city if it wasn’t for their great company; I still have stitches in my side from all the laughter!

On The Road in New York City

After experiencing my first Robsten premiere, I caught the bug — the premiere bug, that is! So, I bought my plane ticket to New York City and planned to scope out the On The Road premiere with Team HBG and Heather. Only caught a glimpse of Kristen, but had such a great time meeting more of YOU, the East Coasters! .. And this trip allowed me to visit the infamous Alice in Wonderland statue that was filmed in Remember Me.

Although there wasn’t anything Robsten-related for our ‘meeting’, Brittney made the trek to Texas to hang out with me for the weekend. Finally, ‘The Originals’ of Strictly Robsten met face-to-face. And yes, you guessed it — epic Robsten conversations commenced.

The Host

And finally, The Host. It all started out as a little promo here and there for the movie studio and turned into our first-ever official Press experience! There’s been mixed feelings from you guys about our coverage of The Host since this blog is named STRICTLY ROBSTEN, not Strictly Robsten/The Host. However, with that being said, we support Stephenie Meyer in whatever she does because she brought us all together in the first place :) So much thanks goes toward Open Road Films for taking such great care of us during the promotion of The Host. Words cannot describe the feeling of seeing ‘Strictly Robsten’ written on a piece of paper, taped to the blue carpet of The Host World Premiere. Just to be recognized in that way — !!

This blog started out as just a fun little hobby and has now turned into a career possibility for me. It still amazes me that I’ve made so many forever friends through this ‘hobby’. I love you guys; if there was a way I could hug each and every one of you, I would! Sincerely!

Here’s to another year of continued success and everything Robsten!
