I can’t believe it’s been TWO years since I publicly started this blog. Time sure does go by! This year definitely had its ups and downs. Our blog, but more importantly, our fandom, was put to the test this year! We lost a lot of friends, but we gained a new sense of strength. Instead of dwelling in the “what shoulda, coulda, woulda beens”, I think it’s time to share the good times from this year:
Melissa Goes to Europe
Melissa took a brief leave of absense this summer to continue her studies in Paris, France. It wouldn’t be a Melissa trip without making it Robsten-related, so she adjusted her trip to include the Paris Cosmopolis screening with Robert Pattinson and David Cronenberg in attendance!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 LA Premiere
This year, I made a pact with Heather that we HAD to go to the last Twilight premiere and meet each other face-to-face! Our dreams became a reality and we found ourselves taking endless pictures of each other along our Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere journey. We were lucky enough to get pictures with the trio, and I totally remember telling Rob, “I love your suit! Green is a great color on you!” He replied in his adorable British accent, “Thanks!” And then, my fangirl heart flatlined. ha! I can’t talk about the BD2 premiere and not mention the lovely, amazing girls of Team HBG — Lynsey, Jenn, and Sarah! I don’t think I could have lasted much longer in tent city if it wasn’t for their great company; I still have stitches in my side from all the laughter!

On The Road in New York City
After experiencing my first Robsten premiere, I caught the bug — the premiere bug, that is! So, I bought my plane ticket to New York City and planned to scope out the On The Road premiere with Team HBG and Heather. Only caught a glimpse of Kristen, but had such a great time meeting more of YOU, the East Coasters! .. And this trip allowed me to visit the infamous Alice in Wonderland statue that was filmed in Remember Me.
Meeting Brittney
Although there wasn’t anything Robsten-related for our ‘meeting’, Brittney made the trek to Texas to hang out with me for the weekend. Finally, ‘The Originals’ of Strictly Robsten met face-to-face. And yes, you guessed it — epic Robsten conversations commenced.

The Host
And finally, The Host. It all started out as a little promo here and there for the movie studio and turned into our first-ever official Press experience! There’s been mixed feelings from you guys about our coverage of The Host since this blog is named STRICTLY ROBSTEN, not Strictly Robsten/The Host. However, with that being said, we support Stephenie Meyer in whatever she does because she brought us all together in the first place
So much thanks goes toward Open Road Films for taking such great care of us during the promotion of The Host. Words cannot describe the feeling of seeing ‘Strictly Robsten’ written on a piece of paper, taped to the blue carpet of The Host World Premiere. Just to be recognized in that way — !!

This blog started out as just a fun little hobby and has now turned into a career possibility for me. It still amazes me that I’ve made so many forever friends through this ‘hobby’. I love you guys; if there was a way I could hug each and every one of you, I would! Sincerely!
Here’s to another year of continued success and everything Robsten!
