Hope you’re all having a wonderful Saturday and enjoying TIFF weekend with Kristen! We’ve seen her in some really great pieces lately that are hard to miss! We know she doesn’t like attention, but it’s the best kind when she’s dressed to kill!
I’m so glad Kristen chose this Roberto Cavalli printed blazer to the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in July. I happen to love this jacket and how structured it is. She’s done the blazer and leather pants look LOTS of times (just check other StyleStew posts- I’m obsessed!).
If you look at the runway trends, you’ll see that abstracts and prints of any kind are coming back around this year! Take a page out of Kristen’s book and pair a solid or printed blue blazer with either black or leather pants. I would suggest wearing a loosely fitted tank top underneath like Kristen did at this award show to make the outfit appear more relaxed.
I don’t normally go into beauty details, but Kristen has a very subtle braid on the side of her head underneath her ear. Just create a deep part on the same side as the braid for a less done-up approach! I haven’t seen this done on many celebrities, so you’ll be sure to impress fellow fashionistas!
If you’re going to do a photoshoot in Cannes, why not do it on a rooftop? In a pool?
At her photoshoot with Marie Claire magazine with Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund, Kristen wore a graphic Blondie t-shirt tucked into her black Hudson distressed cutoffs for a sunny afternoon. Instead of wearing her jacket, she propped her signature Balenciaga moto jacket on her shoulder.
In fact, this is another one of those outfits of hers you can recreate easily! Vintage band t-shirts are easy to find, especially in thrift stores and hipster boutiques. Even though Kristen’s Dolce & Gabbana tee is on the pricey side, it doesn’t mean you can’t find one similar! Just pick your favorite artist and pair it with do-it-yourself jean cutoffs! Go to your local thrift store, find a pair that fit especially good in the waist, and destroy those babies! They’re fun to make and cheap!
As for the moto jacket, those you can find closer to fall and winter, but here’s a great one on sale at Express for under $100!
Inspiration hit me this week to do a StyleStew because fall is practically here and wedding season is just around the corner. I have a wedding to attend in the next couple weeks and have been looking ALL over for a unique dress. Kristen is known for her different approaches to fashion and for choosing appropriate evening dresses for an event.
Before her appearance at Cannes in a bold Reem Acra gown, Kristen wore the designer to the 2011 People’s Choice Awards. Her gold sequins mini could be worn for many different ocassions, which is the fun part about minis! If you want to capture someone’s attention and have all eyes on you, sequins never disappoints!
To find a replica of Kristen’s dress, search for a gold sequined mini dress with spaghetti straps with or without a black band. If the dress doesn’t have one, simply find a skinny or thick black belt to draw attention to your waist and compliment your figure!
Since the dress makes the biggest statement, wear solid black pumps and gold jewelry to complete the outfit!
In spirit of Rob and Kristen attending Comic Con 2012 for Breaking Dawn Part 2 next Thursday, I thought it appropriate to cover Kristen’s 2011 Comic Con look! In case you missed it, yesterday’s BFD Friday featured the best of Robsten from last year – take a look here!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love Kristen’s style because it’s so simple, it’s effortless to re-create! I was never a fan of the black bra and white tee combination, but on her it’s so sexy! Done tastefully and subtly, you can pull this off without appearing unclassy. Kristen’s Market t-shirt is somewhat see-through, but not in a show off way.
Perfect for the mall, running errands, or hanging out with friends, this outfit is nothing special, but the thin t-shirt material with the dark bra underneath is where the playfulness peeks out of the casual! It also brings attention to her upper body instead of us always admiring her legs! The best part: her Converse high tops say punk, but her bra says, ‘Hey. I’m still a girl!’
I have to admit, this isn’t my favorite creation I’ve made, but I do love this outfit! Kristen showed her love for Led Zeppelin while visiting the BBC Radio 1 Station in London during the SWATH Press Tour!
The rocker tee gives off the punk vibe, but the blazer says, ‘I’m ready for my interview!’ The shoes are the best part: loafer shaped flats with studs. They’re not sneakers, but they’re not heels, either! 
Our girl knows how to keep it comfy, yet professional and the blazer adds a level of sophistication to balance out the casual. It stays true to her personality and that’s what’s most admirable about this look!
Kristen brightens up our day constantly with her presence, but her neon yellow Louboutins were the highlight of her Snow White and the Huntsman press tour! She stopped in Mexico with Sam Clafin to promote her new film, wearing Vivienne Westwood capris and a Marios Schwab high-collared crop top.
There is nothing more perfect than a versatile outfit! You can wear this to work just as Kristen is wearing it (with a lengthier shirt, of course) or you can find a bright yellow blouse to match the grey pants instead for a night out to dinner! The pop of color puts some ‘fab’ into typical drab office attire, which every women should strive to achieve!
