Kristen Stewart Talks Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld with People Magazine’s StyleWatch – May 2014

More Chanel goodies are headed our way! Here’s what is available of Kristen’s interview with People so far. More to come after this week’s issue is released.

Ever since we heard that Kristen Stewart was a new face of Chanel, we’ve been dying to see how the line’s creative director and head designer Karl Lagerfeld would style her for his ads. After all, the starlet has a very different look than the ethereal blondes Lagerfeld has tapped for previous campaigns (like Keira Knightley, Blake Lively and Diane Kruger). And as you can see in the first-look video from the ad shoot below, her edgy beauty was played up in cornrows, winged liner and some seriously beautiful clothes.

Stewart had a long working relationship with Chanel — she’s been to its fashion shows and worn Chanel to the Met Gala — before Lagerfeld asked her to model this collection (which he shot himself in Paris). And, she tells PEOPLE, he’s not at all as intimidating as someone of his stature in the fashion world might seem.

“Really, his image is in contrast to what it’s really like to be around him. There’s something almost unapproachable and f—ing chic … And then you meet him and he’s actually an incredibly creative and voracious liver,” she says. “His personal library in Paris that we shot the campaign in, you look around and the staff is like, ‘Now can you believe, he’s actually read all of these books?’ and you’re like, ‘I kind of actually can.’ He’s an impressive guy. He definitely is so much more than the glasses and the hair than you might think he is.”

Chanel’s Métiers d’Art collections are produced once a year to show off the craftsmanship of its ateliers. This year’s “romantic Western”-inspired lineup debuted in Dallas, and can be seen on Stewart throughout the video. “It was about finding which pieces from the collection worked on me,” she tells PEOPLE of staging the shoot. “He’s so good at seeing something that’s not cool and making it cool. Like, I would have my leg in one position and he would throw a toothpick in my mouth and tell me to stop leaning on my leg and in two seconds it was like, ‘Oh, there it is.’ It was very cool and easy and artistic. I didn’t feel like I had to push outside of myself. I didn’t have to try to turn into someone else.”

For more from Stewart — including her relationship with the “incredibly enriching” Lagerfeld and why she really changes into sneakers on the red carpet — check out this week’s PEOPLE (on stands Wednesday) and come back Friday for even more from our interview with the star. Tell us: What do you think of Stewart’s behind-the-scenes video? Are you excited to see the campaign?

Rob Supports ‘Run With Marysol’ Raising Money for Prostate Cancer Research

Rob donated an autographed runner singlet to support Marysol Running on behalf of the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. The online action will take place from April 1st to 10th. The event will be tomorrow, but we don’t know if they auction the siglet then, or on the online auction.

Info about the auction:

Welcome to my fundraise auction on behalf of the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. I’ll be running this year London’s marathon and I have a fundraise target of £4,000 pounds.

I would specially like to thank actors Sienna Miller and Robert Pattinson, who have jointly donated 3 items that will be auctioned for this great cause! Sienna Miller: autographed Burberry handbag and Diane von Furstenberg robe. Robert Pattison: autographed runner singlet. All the items that you will find here are original and were donated by the artists themselves. Also all the items are new, unless otherwise stated.

The online auction will take place on Ebay from 1st through 10th April, so please stay tuned as the link will be posted here as the date approaches. In the meantime, please show your love (and generosity) to this great cause through your donations! Why I run

My aim is to raise as much money as possible for Prostate Cancer Research, as my husband was stricken with Prostate Cancer in 2010. After surgery, chemo and radio therapy, he has been told he is now in remission.
When this happened to my husband, we were obviously devastated, as we have 3 children, now aged 15, 18 and 27, but we now have a future that is looking better as time goes by.
I discovered that Prostate Cancer is one of the most serious forms of cancer in men, as it often goes undiagnosed, often until it is too late. Also since my husband’s diagnoses, he has been very forthright in talking about it to his friends and colleagues, and telling them that it is important that they get regularly checked by their GP. We have also been reminded of this as other friends have been recently diagnosed, and although each person is different, we hope that it was perhaps the experiences of my husband that prompted these friends to be checked.
The more I have learned, then the more I wish to help in raising money and more importantly, awareness of the problems of prostate cancer, and as I lead a very hectic life, I still ensure I work out and keep fit at my Local YMCA in central London on a daily basis.
I have been involved in running 5k and 10k races, particularly for Breast Cancer, for many years, and this was also brought home to me as I myself had a scare approximately 2 years ago with a lump in my breast, luckily benign, and I now want to stretch myself to the next level. So in the next few months,I’ll take part in other races. I will keep you posted about that!
I sincerely wait in great anticipation of I hope a positive outcome to this personal effort.
Donating through Virgin Money Giving is easy so please support me today!

Rob mentioned in new interview with former co-star Holliday Grainger

Holliday Grainger, who has worked with Rob on Bel Ami and The Bad Mother’s Handbook, talked about working with Rob in a new article in Grazia magazine, where she dishes about her role in Bonnie & Clyde. Check out the excerpt with what she says about him, below. For the full article, go here.

Holliday also told us about her friend Robert Pattinson. The pair have worked together on a number of projects over the years including The Bad Mother’s Handbook in 2007 and Bel Ami in 2012 in which they played lovers. ‘He’s lovely,’ she says. ‘I’ve known him since his pre-Twilight days when he was a normal person and it was still like, “ooh you’re playing Cederic Diggory (in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire)”. He’s managed to keep very level headed and normal. I don’t understand how. I can’t fathom the idea of living a life like he lives. On the set of Bel Ami in Budpest there would be hundreds of screaming girls there at 5am and they would still be cordoned off when we finished. He had to move hotels because there were so many people outside his. One day he was signing autographs on the way home from work at 6am after a night shoot. Bless him, that’s an extra level of hard.’
